Children learn about friendship, identifying emotions in themselves and others, and work on building their skills and knowledge to function successfully in their peer group.
Playing in all kinds of ways is the name of the game!

Focus: We continue to create opportunities for children to develop independence and confidence.
Social and emotional skills grow by leaps and bounds in this year, and the children show interest in the world around them and are curious about so many things.

Focus: Curiosity and exploration are the drivers of learning in this class. We introduce age-appropriate literacy skills and foster a love for reading, math, and the natural world.

Focus: School Readiness - we focus on the development of skills and knowledge that prepare your child to be a successful life-long learner. We support social and emotional learning necessary for learning with a peer group and work on approaches to learning for concentration, task completion, managing successes and challenges, and self-motivation.

Early literacy: We use Heggerty Phonemic Awareness to build sound and word knowledge and our own Hands On Handwriting program to build fine-motor skills, pencil grip, and letter formation.

Mathematics: We use Little Mathematicians to explore math concepts throughout the year.

Spanish: built into every week are several sessions of Whistlefritz Spanish, a fun interactive language program that learners love!
